Editions Mego mix - tracks chosen by Mego artists and mixed by Nik Colk Void
"On the train up to Sheffield to play at Cafe DINA, thinking of the mix, I messaged Peter Rehberg (aka Pita)’s long term partner, Isabelle. Isabelle is overseeing the final scheduled releases Peter had pencilled in for Editions Mego, a list discovered on his desk after he passed away in July 2021. I asked her what her favourite Mego track is, and finding it hard to just pick one, she eventually chose Fennesz’s ‘Nebenraum’ from Hotel Paral.lel.
And so it continued… I went on to ask other artists who have released on Mego the same question. When Peter left too early, he left a hole too big for anyone else to fill, but at least we have his legacy through the Mego catalogue. The releases will stop - mine being one of the last - but thankfully the mass of music he championed will keep existing and coax brave ambition which will continue to break the mould." - Nik Colk Void
