For more than an hour here Blackford blends a selection of his own productions from down the years. This proves to be an inspired move - few artists in the world of modern electronic music have such a distinctive sound, one that has graced labels like Central Processing Unit, WéMè and Breakin’ Records since Blackford emerged in the early 2000s. Blackford’s bass-led downtempo style combines electro, bleep techno, hip-hop and IDM influences to delightful effect, the gentle beats and low hum of sub adorned with beautifully woozy synth tones. When brought together here the result here is a Bleep mix that makes for a perfect soundtrack to sky larking.
