A Screaming Comes Across the Sky
Golden Ratio Syrup
Golden Ratio Syrup
I started the NOREMIXES label this year and this was the first release on the label. It's my favorite record I've heard in a few years and I still listen to it at least 5 times a week.
Assertion Of A Surrounding Presence
I've been a fan of Jamie's since he was in Vex'd. We both share similar musical interests and his new EP is a really nice progression in his output as Kuedo.
Dow Jones Brotherhood
This came out a couple weeks ago on NOREMIXES. I really love the kind of punk cut and paste-ness of this entire release, and this track is a great example of the record.
Sculptures of Sand
Radiance & Submission
CFCF's music is pretty varied; I love how this track sounds like a hybrid synth and organic call and response.
Music for the Motion Picture Victoria (Bonus Track Version)
Both 'Solo' and this film score were great releases this year from Nils Frahm. The piano recordings in particular are so detailed that you can hear every nuance of the mechanics of the instrument; it sounds sick.
Full Metal Optimist
This is only the 2nd full-length artist release we've done on Slit Jockey. Mattwizard's music is like grime smashed with jazz and 80's/90's synth nostalgia.
I've been getting into Nicolas Jaar's stuff more and more this past year. I really love music that has interesting textures and 'Mistress' is a perfect example of that.
Love this collaborative project. You can hear the grime devil mix influence but with extra ambience and hiss.
Kid U / Lost My Marbles
Mr. Mitch has always put out some great stuff on Gobstopper. Once again I love it how you can hear the grime in the record, but it's structure and textures push it into another place.
I really enjoy Alessandro Cortini's records because he strips it down to only a couple pieces of hardware to create something with constraints and really gets into what you can do with the instrument.
