I stumbled upon this recently. Super lofi post punk kind of thing, sounds familiar but with enough of it's own thing going on.
Really happy to have a new John Maus album in my life. What I've heard so far is an interesting progression for his sound. This track sits somewhere between synth pop and an old western soundtrack to me.
One of my favourite ambient albums this year. It's a good one for travelling/ staring vacantly into space.
I've got a lot of time for the music Matt Loveridge makes as Fairhorns. This album is from a few years back and seems a bit slept on. Noise meets kraut meets a huge variety of other interesting sounds. Buy this record.
His music manages to tread the line between sounding very experimental whilst still being very listenable which is always a difficult thing to achieve. Really like it.
