Folklore Tapes embrace the other side of winter with this new, frosty folk soundtrack, as the year's colours drain away and the snow starts falling, Folklore Tapes have enlisted the help of label regulars Dean McPhee, Rob St John, Sam McLoughlin, Magpahi Ian Humberstone, Carl Turney & Brian Campbell and more to come together and reach out a crystal branch to pull us through the mist into the new year. Despite the fact that this time of year is when the shadows lengthen, branches grow bare and bony, temperatures drop and darkness prevails Folklore Tapes have crafted a compilation of celebration that brings to life the tales of Old mid-winter rites and rituals told through a form of end-of-year months' psychedelia that stretches from Robyn Hitchcock's winter love to the sub-zero North of England explorations of Dakota Oak. The artists contributing to this limited edition cassette compilation have each researched a particular mid-winter ritual and, informed by their findings, conjured a sound piece in response. The movements take their listener on an audiological journey around the old ways of winter and are the perfect soundtrack for the long nights ahead.

Due to the limited nature of this item, it is strictly one copy per customer, anyone ordering more than one will have their order cancelled to be fair to other customers.
