Bleep Mix #60 - Marco Shuttle

Marco Shuttle has been a hugely prominent figure in the Italian techno scene over the last decade. He pushes an abstract, hypnotic sound that often draws close comparisons with the legendary Donato Dozzy. He’s released sublime records on Dozzy and Neel’s label Spazio Disponibile, The Bunker New York and his own fantastic Eerie imprint, who have just released a remix package of his classic ‘Vox Attitude’ featuring Atom TM and Pessimist. As a dj he has refined his sound over the years to be wildly rhythmic and trance-like and we’re very pleased to share his latest offering with you for Bleep #60.

Marco Shuttle’s ‘The Vox Attitude’ is the gift that keeps on giving. The 2011 tune has already spawned one remix EP - a 2013 release that featured Pangaea and Joy Anderson - and this latest set fronts new edits from Pessimist, Atom TM and Shuttle himself. Both ‘The Vox Attitude’ and original B-side ‘Spaziale’ make grand re-entrances too - with their humid house atmospheres and (on the former) arresting soul vocals, the tracks still sound as spectacular as they did all those years ago. Shuttle’s new ‘To The Bone’ remix of ‘The Vox Attitude’ maintains the vibe while ratcheting up the tempo, Atom TM gives things a bit of an acid techno flavour, and Pessimist’s ‘Spaziale’ flip is a darkside slab of breakbeat industrialism.
