The excellent Lapsus Records (Pye Corner Audio, Gacha Bakradze) come through with a re-release of Secede’s sophomore LP Tryshasla. Originally issued in 2005, Tryshasla is one of those low-key masterpieces that has quietly permeated the musical landscape in the years since it first surfaced. Artists such as Teebs and Susanna And The Magical Orchestra owe a debt to the twinkling ambiences and meditative loops here. Meanwhile the beat-driven numbers - ‘Leraine’, ‘Born In A Tropical Swamp’ - cut a path for the likes of Bonobo and Four Tet.
