Hyperdub

Hyperdub’s first release, back in 2004, was a dark, claustrophobic dub version of Prince’s ‘Sign Of The Times’, known as ‘Sine Of The Dub’. Produced by the label’s owner, Kode 9, this lauded classic featured a cold vocal delivery by MC Daddi Gee (The Space Ape), replacing Prince’s cautionary lyrics…
Debuts by Ikonika and Quarta 330 were released alongside The Bug’s alternative guises, Pressure and King Midas Sound. Most notably, Hyperdub was responsible for releasing the music of dubstep’s most enigmatic character, Burial, to worldwide, critical acclaim.  Showcasing versatility, Hyperdub has released music from LA’s Samiyam and has commissioned remixes from the likes of Flying Lotus, Dabrye and Rustie; thus crossing over into the ‘hip-hop’ fraternity.
