Battles aesthetic is deep-down in the thrilling  soundcore where a maelstrom of dismantled genre conventions collide; glam-rock, post, hip-hop, techno, afro-delica, hardcore-punk, jazz, twelve-tone serialism fused into a mad-pop whole. Each release on the Battles discography merits complete adoration, so fevered, so addictive are their brilliant experiments in sound.
